Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

As we continue our global expansion, we are looking for talented individuals to join our team. We currently have an opening for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will play a critical role in one of Twin Disc's most well-known product groups. This position will be responsible for assisting in the design and analysis of components for industrial products, including design for manufacturing and assembly, and evaluating deviation and change requests. This position will also have considerable interaction with manufacturing.
Education
- Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years experience in design of components and analysis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Basic experience in 3-d modeling, SolidWorks preferred
- Basic knowledge of 2-d CAD, DraftSight or AutoCad preferred
- Basic experience in the application of Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- Working knowledge of gearing, clutches, bearing selection, hydraulic systems and material processes
- Working knowledge of root cause analysis
- Basic understanding of PLM, PDM preferred
The engineer must also possess strong interpersonal, collaboration, and listening skills. S/he must be able to analyze and solve problems to meet project goals, deadlines, and standards. Strong organizational and time management skills are also necessary. Travel may be required to customer and Twin Disc entities both domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
