Our company has built a global reputation for quality and innovation and is looking for an enthusiastic Field Service Engineer – Mechanical (Marine).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Your role

As a Marine Service Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of our team, collaborating with internal departments and providing expert technical support and service to our customers. You’ll specialize in Twin Disc’s marine transmission and control systems, becoming the go-to expert on our cutting-edge and legacy marine products. You will play a crucial role in analyzing and resolving technical issue. You will supervise and perform overhauls, product installations, and commissioning’s. You will also develop and provide technical training to familiarize customers with our products. You will coordinate the creation of source material for new service manuals, review existing manuals and write technical publications. You will answer service emails, create service calls and reports, and document field activities. You will also initiate field investigations and follow up on actions to effectively resolve issues, with the goal of ensuring customer satisfaction and optimal product performance.

While you may occasionally support our land-based customers, your primary focus will be on the marine side of the business, working in environments such as shipyards, onboard vessels, and at ports.

You are well-presented, flexible, and a customer-oriented individual. You possess strong analytical skills, can work independently, solve problems effectively, and thrive in a dynamic market where we strive to deliver innovative, high-quality products and excellent service.

  • You have a Mechanical Engineering degree or an equivalent European diploma.
  • You have experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Teams
  • You have a good command of the English and preferable the Dutch language.
  • You possess strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of gearing, clutches, electronics, hydraulics, and system processes is a plus.
  • You like travelling, this is required for customer visits and to the Twin Disc entities, both nationally and internationally, up to 35% of the time.
  • This role is approximately divided into 30% hands-on and 70% theoretical.
