Hydraulically Actuated

When you need a disconnect between the driven equipment and the prime mover, choose self-adjusting Twin Disc hydraulic PTOs. They support maximum side loads for increased efficiency and decreased vibration, yet take up little space thanks to a compact design.

Mechanical Power Take-Offs

Twin Disc offers more mechanical PTOs in more capacities than any other provider, delivering options ideal for basic actuation installations. Where machinery configuration complicates access, choose our remotely actuated mechanical PTOs for greater design flexibility and safer, easier operation.

  • Suitable for Duty Class II industrial applications with internal combustion engines up to 1667 hp and with standard SAE flywheel housing dimensions from No. 6 through No. 00.
  • Clutches sizes range from one-plate 6.5″ to 14″; two-plate 11.5″ to 18″; and three-plate 14″ to 21″.
  • Optional sealed pilot ball or roller bearings eliminate need for lubrication and shaft rifle-drilling. Ball bearing throw-out collars and finger springs available.
  • Horsepower and torque capacities can be increased with sintered-iron clutch plates, optional for sizes 8″ through 21″.
