Service Engineer - Mechanical

As a Service Engineer, you are part of a team, collaborating with internal departments, and responsible for providing technical support and service to our customers. You will become the expert in Twin Disc’s legacy marine and/or land-based transmissions. You will play a crucial role in analyzing and resolving technical issues, performing overhauls, and providing training to our customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Your role

As a Service Engineer, you are part of a team, collaborating with internal departments, and responsible for providing technical support and service to our customers. You will become the expert in Twin Disc’s legacy marine and/or land-based transmissions. You will play a crucial role in analyzing and resolving technical issues, performing overhauls, and providing training to our customers. The primary tasks include:

Your responsibilities

  • Performing and supervising product installations, commissioning, and overhauls;
  • Analyzing and resolving equipment malfunctions;
  • Developing and delivering technical training/service training programs to customers to familiarize them with our products and services;
  • Coordinating and preparing source material required for the publication of new service manuals, reviewing manuals, and writing technical publications;
  • Responding to service-related emails;
  • Creating service notifications, field activities, and service reports;
  • Initiating and following up on necessary actions in field investigations.

 

Your skills

You are well-presented, flexible, and a customer-oriented individual. You possess strong analytical skills, can work independently, solve problems effectively, and thrive in a dynamic market where we strive to deliver innovative, high-quality products and excellent service.

  • You hold a Mechanical Engineering degree or an equivalent European diploma;
  • You have experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Teams;
  • You are proficient in both spoken and written English;
  • You possess strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skill;.
  • Knowledge of gearing, clutches, electronics, hydraulics, and system processes is a plus.
  • Travelling is required for customer visits and to Twin Disc entities, both nationally and internationally, up to 35% of the time;
  • This role is approximately divided into 30% hands-on and 70% theoretical;
