Mounted atop the unit is a gearbox housing the propeller transmission gearing, alongside a steering gearbox meticulously designed for noise-free right-angle transmission.

Even under full power and maximum propeller RPM, the housing effortlessly rotates a full 360°, thanks to a compact gearbox design and minimal exterior pipework. Critical components such as the transmission and drive shaft bearings benefit from oil-bath and injection lubrication, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.

Equipped as standard with a 4-blade NiAl bronze propeller, the Compact Jet facilitates seamless inspections, maintenance, and propeller replacements, often without requiring dry dock facilities. With minimal hose connections, removal from its housing is swift, facilitated by a hoist.

The principle behind the Compact Jet is elegantly simple yet highly effective: water is drawn in at an angle from beneath the vessel by the propeller, then smoothly deflected away through the hydrodynamically streamlined housing.
