Nautical Training

A nautical training programme from Veth Propulsion takes (at least) two days. It is important that you experience the difference between manoeuvring with a conventional system and manoeuvring with azimuth thrusters. After theoretical instruction, you are given the opportunity to put this knowledge into practice and to operate the Veth Propulsion 1 azimuth thrusters yourself.

Besides the practical training, you have the opportunity to follow on-board mechanical training that addresses subjects such as:

• Technical operation of azimuth thrusters
• Faults (diagnosis and resolution) / making an emergency stop
• Maintenance of an azimuth thruster
• Electrical control of an azimuth thruster

In short, in a few days you will get in-depth training that puts education and experience first. You learn to manoeuvre with azimuth thrusters both in theory and in practice.
