VETH PROPULSION DELIVERS 4,000TH THRUSTER

RACINE, Wis. – June 25, 2019 – Veth Propulsion by Twin Disc, Inc. (NASDAQ: TWIN) has delivered its 4,000th thruster. To commemorate the accomplishment, Tim Batten, managing director, and Erik Veth, resigning managing director, traveled to Greece to deliver a special edition, golden thruster.
The 4,000th thruster will be mounted on the Protoporos 15, one of 15 ferryboats owned by loyal customers, the Tsokos family. Each vessel in the fleet is equipped with four Veth thrusters varying from VZ-400 to VZ-550 Z-drives.
Veth thrusters suit a variety of application needs, including ferryboats, and can be adjusted to meet customer requirements and desired maneuverability. Additionally, the reliability and quality of the Veth thrusters meet high standards. Veth Propulsion has been producing and delivering thrusters since the first was built in 1986. On average, 125 thrusters a year, or 2.5 thrusters a week, leave the headquarters in Papendrecht, the Netherlands, to be shipped globally.

Global leader in power transmission technology announces changes to its management team

Feiertag as president and COO, effective May 1, 2019. Feiertag assumes the role of president, previously held by CEO John H. Batten, and replaces COO Mac Moore, who will retire May 31, 2019.
In this role, Feiertag will be responsible for overseeing the functions of operations, sales, marketing, distribution and engineering.
Since 2014, Feiertag has been president and CEO of Bemis Manufacturing Company in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. Prior to that, he was employed at Twin Disc for 14 years, most recently as executive vice president. During his tenure, he had a variety of global and regional responsibilities in operations, sales and marketing, distribution, engineering and global sourcing. Prior to joining Twin Disc in 2000, Jim spent 21 years at Rockwell Automation in various roles. Feiertag earned a BBA from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and an MBA from Marquette University.

The 39,000 square-foot North American Aftermarket Distribution Center offers three times the capacity of the current location, and provides dedicated aftermarket resources and shipping flexibility. It is located at 2000 S. Sylvania Avenue, Sturtevant, Wisconsin, adjacent to the I-94 Corridor between Milwaukee and Chicago and is just six miles west of the Global Manufacturing Headquarters in Racine.
The state-of-the-art facility has increased capacity and storage racking, uses advanced equipment including a Vertical Lift Module (VLM) for small components and applies lean strategies to create exceptional value for Twin Disc customers.
